Welcome to Sophie!

The new DynaMo PhD student Sophie Lambertz active in the lab making clones.

Sophie Lambertz new PhD Student at DynaMo

Sophie holds an MSc degree in Biology from the Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg, her two majors being in Biophysics and Biochemistry & Plant Development and Environmental Interactions. And since 1 June 2014 she is a PhD student at DynaMo.

Sophie's MSc project focused on identifying plant hormon transporters and during her PhD project she will work on how transport processes in plants are involved in signaling. She is especially interested in how the dynamic nature of signaling is influenced by the activity of the transporters and if this has an effect for interactions with other organisms and organ development.

At DynaMo Sophie will be part of the transport subgroup and her PhD supervisor is Associate Professor Hussam Nour-Eldin.

Sophie is not new to DynaMo as she did a 5 months internship here during the fall of 2012 and in 2013 she came back to do part of her master thesis in our lab. Now she is back for the third time, and we are happy to have you back!

Welcome Sophie!
