In brief, I study how plants respond to environmental stress and how such responses can be inherited to following generations.

Plants have developed a high phenotypic variation in order to cope with stress and ever-changing environments. These heritable traits are not only determined by changes in the DNA sequence, but also by epigenetic factors.

My focus is on the bioinformatic analysis of various types of sequencing to unravel networks being affected by stress. I am fascinated by the fact that such stress signals is communated to e.g. neighbouring plants and also following generations of plants.
