Inauguration of DynaMo Center of Excellence
The Danish National Research Foundation Center for Dynamic Molecular Interactions
You are cordially invited to the opening of our new research center linking cellular and organismal biology. The aim of the Center is to uncover the molecular interactions facilitating dynamic biological processes in a multi-cellular organism through synergistic research activities. Ultimately, our goal is to discover universal principles underlying the higher order of structure in biology which enables a multicellular organism to function and to sense and respond to the environment.
DynaMo was established on 1 January 2012 with a six-year grant from the Danish National Research Foundation amounting to DKK 49 million.
The center is initiated by Professor Barbara Ann Halkier (Head of
Center), Professor Alexander Schulz and Associate Professor Meike Burow, all from University of Copenhagen, and Professor Daniel Kliebenstein, UC Davis. The center is affiliated with the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen.
The speakers at the inauguration ceremony are the four members of
DynaMo’s Scientific Advisory Board.
Kindly,
Barbara Ann Halkier
Head of Center
