Congratulations Morten!
Today DynaMo PhD student Morten Egevang Jørgensen was awarded the PhD degree for a thesis on transport biology.
Morten Egevang Jørgensen's thesis is entitled Identification and characterization of glucosinolate transporters. The thesis contains 6 papers where transporter proteins are identified and characterized biochemically and genetically.
Morten completed his thesis under the supervision of Head of DynaMo Professor Barbara Ann Halkier and DynaMo member Associate Professor Hussam Nour-Eldin.
In front of family, friends and colleagues, Morten gave a well-structured and convincing oral presentation of his PhD thesis. This was followed by a discussion with the three members of the assessment committee Alain Gojon, Integrative Biology Institute for Plants, Montpellier, France, John M. Ward, University of Minnesota, USA, and Michael Broberg Palmgren, University of Copenhagen. The committee unaimously reccommend that Morten is awarded the PhD degree.
