DynaMo master student Nora Linscheid successfully defends her MSc thesis
Today, DynaMo master student Nora Linscheid successfully defended her MSc thesis in Biology-Biotechnology. The title of Nora's thesis is 'Towards rationally engineering specialized metabolite transport in plants'. Her project is part of a larger project that systematically studies transport engineering of specialized metabolites. In her MSc project Nora engineered the glucosinolate transport pathway using an over-expression approach. Additionally, she characterized a hyperactive glucosinolate transporter (GTR) mutant in Xenopus oocytes with the purpose of understanding the underlying biophysical changes in energy-coupling and substrate specificity.
