Welcome to Meike Burow!

Associate Professor Meike Burow

Meike Burow at the DynaMo Inauguration 26 March 2012

New Associate Professor at DynaMo

Associate Professor Meike Burow is the first person to be hired at DynaMo. Meike started at DynaMo on 1 January 2012, the same day the center was initiated.

As a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology in Jena, Germany, Meike investigated the glucosinolate-myrosinase system as model system for plant chemical defences from a mechanistic as well as a functional perspective. She envisages to combine her background on chemical ecology, protein biochemistry and plant genetics to unravel molecular mechanisms plants use to adjust to the ever-changing environment they encounter.

Meike is one of the four DynaMo Partners and is member of the DynaMo Board. At DynaMo she will oversee research on pathway-specific regulation and interactomics. Meike is PhD supervisor for Morten Emil Møldrup, Tonni Grube Andersen and Lea Møller Jensen.
