Congratulations Sebastian!
Today, DynaMo PhD scholar Sebastian Nintemann successfully defended his PhD thesis.
In front of colleagues, family and friends Sebastian Nintemann succesfully defended his PhD thesis. The aim of Sebastian's PhD project is to shed light on the spatial organization of glucosinolate biosynthesis; his thesis is entitled 'The spatial organization of glucosinolate biosynthesis - Localization of biosynthetic enzymes from the whole plant to the subcellular level'.
In this project, Sebastian used advanced bioimaging techniques such as fluorophore-tagged proteins and FRET-FLIM, and protein-protein interaction studies were carried out to investigate the subcellular organization of glucosinolate biosynthesis.
Sebastian holds a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Bremen. In November 2012, he joined DynaMo Center as a PhD student. His PhD supervisors were Head of DynaMo Professor Barbara Ann Halkier and DynaMo Board member Associate Professor Meike Burow.
Congratulations Sebastian!
